About Me
I am a Hubert Humphrey Fellow at Arizona State University at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I graduated in journalism from the University of Montenegro – Political Science in 2010.I am an experienced journalist, TV host and editor spearheading a central news program at RTV Podgorica, Montenegro’s local public broadcaster. My career journey embodies a versatile blend of experiences across private and public sectors. Beginning at Television 777 in 2011, I swiftly transitioned into roles as a marketing manager and later as a corporate and airline catering manager, where I organized various events, such as corporate gatherings, weddings and birthdays. From 2016 to 2020, I served as an advisor to the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, honing my public affairs and diplomacy expertise. I was part of a team that organized numerous national, regional and international conferences. One of them is the Cetinje Parliamentary Forum, which represents a regional initiative of parliamentary cooperation of southeastern European countries on their path towards European integration. It was an essential form of encouragement and promotion of parliamentary dialogue among the countries in the region. I am a distinguished alumna of prestigious programs, including the “European and International Affairs” program at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna and the U.S. State Department’s IVLP program. Complementing my extensive professional journey are certifications as a media literacy trainer in Montenegro and participating in various European Union trainings focused on intercultural dialogue and human rights.
My career goal is to strengthen press freedom, enhance public engagement and support independent media through strategic communication and advocacy. I am committed to creating a safer and more resilient environment for journalists by improving legal protections, fostering institutional support and promoting ethical journalism. Through my work in media, public relations and nonprofit initiatives, I aim to bridge the gap between journalism and strategic communication, empowering underrepresented voices and driving meaningful social change.
